This mosaic of Callisto was obtained by Voyager 1 (left), Galileo (middle), and Voyager 2 (right). Features of interest in the Galileo data include the dark, smooth area in the northern latitudes which appears to border older terrain, and the bright zone of cleaner ice in the south polar area, which could be an impact scar.
