Space on TV for Monday, November 8

You know it's a slow day for space-oriented television when a classic Twilight Zone episode and Kirk's tragic relationship with Joan Collins are the best game in town.

(all times Eastern)

2:00 AM The Visitor (SciFi) - Going Home
Special Thanksgiving episode allows a husband to reunite with his wife, taken from him by aliens.

3:40 AM Roger Corman Presents (Showtime Beyond) - Last Exit to Earth
Sometimes Mars needs men, apparently. "Alien super-vixens" come to our helpless planet to scare up some male contributors to their sagging gene pool.

4:10 AM The Sender (HBO)
Robert Vaughn and Dyan Cannon star in this 1997 battle between investigators and UFOs.

5:00 AM The Twilight Zone (SciFi) - Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up
A busload of tourists come under suspicion when a UFO destroys a rural bridge. Could one be an alien scout? There's nothing up my sleeve....

Space on TV for Friday, November 5

5:10 AM Tales from a Parallel Universe (Showtime Beyond) - Giga Shadow
Fourth in the series, which Showtime Beyond is apparently showing in random order. The
Lexx crew fight one of His Galactic Shadow's predecessors to get Kai the proto-blood he needs to stay mobile. With Malcolm McDowell, who was paid in rugs for his efforts. Bizarre and satisfying.

1:45 PM The X-Files: Fight the Future (HBOPlus)
In their big screen debut, Scully and Mulder travel to the ends of the earth, from the deserts of Texas to the icy plains of Antarctica, out to stop the alien menace and menaced by FEMA and bees every step of the way.

2:00 PM Lost in Space (SciFi) - The Wreck of the Robot
Evil aliens steal The Robot and take it apart as part of their nefarious plans of galactic domination.

5:00 PM Star Trek (SciFi) - The City on the Edge of Forever
Consistently voted one of the best Trek episodes ever by fans, this adventure takes Kirk and Spock into the 1930s after a drug-addled McCoy. Once there, Kirk has to decide between returning to the Federation and staying with Joan Collins. Written by Harlan Ellison.
